Help Marie Rose
In April 2021, Marie suffered a stroke caused by Lupus Nephritis. This was diagnosed when doctors conducted further tests, as they couldn’t believe that a 44-year-old would have a stroke solely due to hypertension.
With constant medical attention, Marie recovered. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who helped us bring her home. To all the friends, families, and kind strangers, we are forever grateful. Your support has extended Marie’s life and allowed us to create more cherished memories with her.
Over the past three years, Marie has been in and out of the hospital. She undergoes dialysis on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and physiotherapy on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If anything seems off, we rush her to the ER. We have faced numerous emergency scares: when she appeared unusually pale and lethargic, when her PEG was accidentally removed, and when her pulse dropped as low as 50. It was during one of these scares that doctors recommended installing a pacemaker.
On July 7th, 2024, Marie’s blood pressure was consistently low, prompting us to take her to the hospital. She was immediately given medication for her heart and blood. Her blood was so thick that her heart couldn’t function properly. She also received antibiotics for an infection that affected her lungs. Unfortunately, Marie’s response to the medication has been slower than we hoped. Doctors have now recommended using an NGT (a tube inserted through the nose into the stomach) for her medication and food, and she is also using a bi-pap machine to aid her breathing.
Our current hospital bill is PHP 500,000, excluding doctors’ professional fees. After three years of treatments, surgeries, dialysis, and therapies, we have exhausted all our resources. We humbly ask for your contribution. Any amount, no matter how small, will give Marie a fighting chance. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support.
